We have some really cool life changing books to recommend but limited
space so check out our website for details or join a library and
explore.
Comics: the only place to get them in Manchester is Forbidden Planet,
65 Oldham. They have a decent selection but you can’t get
self-published/diy comics.

Eve’s Back: Womens’ Networking Magazine
Aims to inform women of events and resources in and around Manchester,
encourage debate around issues of interest to women, entertain,
and encourage contributions.

A “monthly round-up of ecological direct action in the UK”,
the AU is also a way for activists to share news, information and

Indymedia
Born during the Seattle protests of 1999, Indymedia is a world-wide
network of Independent Media Centres where anyone can publish news
about direct action and other news relating to anti-capitalist,
environmental, animal rights, anti-fascist, and other movements
that you won’t hear about in the mainstream media. The uk

BeyondTV
Promotes and distributes radical video, and does monthly film screenings
in Manchester... and they want YOU to put on a radical film night

Made for the community by the community, A.L.L. FM is for all -
in the areas of Longsight, Levenshulme, and Ardwick. It broadcasts
a mix of music, debates and live interviews- all produced by locals.

There are a couple of active pirate radio stations in Manchester.
Some are only on for a few hours a day. Spin through the FM dial
and see what you can find.
Community Computer Networks
Community computer networks allow local communities to get cheap
or free internet, their own website and private email, and avoid
paying charges to corporate internet providers.
Redbricks Online is one such “community resourced information
systems provider” They are willing to assist in the development
